Repair Procedures





Removal

1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.




2. Remove the engine cover (A).




3. Remove the air duct (A), and the air cleaner assembly (B).




4. Remove the fuel hose (A), the purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) hose (B) and the brake booster vacuum hose (C).




5. Disconnect the ETC module connector (A).




6. Disconnect the PCSV connector (A) and the injector connectors (B).




7. Disconnect the variable intake system solenoid valve connector (A) and the wiring harness protector (B).




8. Disconnect the injector connectors (A).




9. Disconnect the PCV hose (A), the PCSV hose (B) and the water hoses (C) from the intake manifold module and the throttle body.




10. Remove the intake manifold module (A).






Installation

1. Installation the intake manifold module (A), tighten the nuts as following method.

Tightening torque :
1st step :
4.9 - 7.8N.m ( 0.5 - 0.8kgf.m, 3.6 - 5.8lb-ft)
2nd step :
19.6 - 26.5N.m ( 2.0 - 2.7kgf.m, 14.5 - 19.5lb-ft)








2. Connect the PCV hose (A), the PCSV hose (B) and the water hoses (C) to the intake manifold module and the throttle body.




3. Reconnect the injector connectors (A).




4. Connect the variable intake system solenoid valve (VIS) connector (A) and the wiring harness protector (B).




5. Connect the PCSV connector (A) and the injector connectors (B).




6. Connect the ETC module connector (A).




7. Connect the fuel hose (A), the purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) hose (B) and the brake booster vacuum hose (C).




8. Install the air cleaner assembly (B) and air duct (A).

Tightening torque
Hose clamp bolt:
2.9 - 4.9N.m (0.3 - 0.5kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.6lb-ft)
Air cleaner assembly bolts:
7.8 - 9.8N.m (0.8 - 1.0kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2lb-ft)




9. Install the engine cover (A).




10. Connect the battery negative terminal.

Tightening torque :
4.0 - 6.0N.m (0.4 - 0.6kgf.m, 3.0 - 4.4lb-ft)
