DESCRIPTION:
CONDITION
On some Genesis Coupe vehicles, the sunroof sunshade may slide open during hard acceleration.
REPAIR
Add a notch (indentation) onto the sunshade guide rail using the following procedures.

Applicable Vehicle Production Date Range: From JOB #1 to Aug. 31, 2009
Applicable Vehicle VIN Range: JOB #1 to KMHHT6KD6AU024832
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
1. Open the sunshade (A) and the sunroof glass (B).
2. Locate spring bases on both sides.
3. Put a mark 2.25inch or 57mm (D) from the end of spring base (C). Repeat this procedure for the other side.
4. Place a flathead screwdriver (E) over the mark and use a hammer to strike a notch into the rail.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to use excessive force.
NOTE:
The depth of the notch (F) should range between 0.5~0.7mm.
5. Close the sunroof glass and the sunshade. Ensure that the sunshade opens and closes properly.
