Service Procedure

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

MAIN UPDATE





1. Turn off the engine and press the engine start/stop button to be in the ACC or ON position without depressing the brake pedal. (Key On or ACC / Engine off position for non-Smart key vehicles)

The engine start/stop button changes as follows: OFF --> ACC --> ON --> OFF





2. Turn on the audio, then "GENESIS COUPE" appears on the display.





3. Press the LOAD button, "WAIT" appears on the display.





4. Insert the update CD into the slot.





5. After "READING DISC 1" appears on the display, wait for several seconds.





6. The explanation of the update procedure will be announced for about 14 seconds.





7. After completing the explanation, push the POWER button to turn off the audio.





8. Press and hold preset button no.1 and then press preset button no.4 for 5 seconds





NOTE:
If the display appears immediately as shown in the photo after procedure 8 and before procedure 9, change the start/stop button into OFF and restart the update procedure from the beginning.





9. Briefly push the preset button no. 1 four times.

10. Verify the current version is the latest one within 14 seconds after the version is displayed.

The latest version:

"HUIV_1_05"

NOTE:
If the version is not the latest one, go to the next step to update. But, if the latest one, eject the update CD and go to step 17) in BLUETOOTH UPDATE # 1.





11. Briefly push the preset button no. 2 one time, then "FIRMWARE FOUND" appears.





12. Briefly push the preset button no. 4 one time, then start updating.





13. The software update proceeds automatically for several seconds.





NOTE:
If the error message (as shown in the photo) appears, the update procedure is automatically reset after 10 seconds. In this case, restart the update procedure from the beginning.





14. When the main update is complete, the photo to the right appears on the screen.





15. With the preset button no.1 pressed, push the preset button no.6 for one second or more.

Verify that the update is complete and the new software version (HUIV_1_05) is displayed





16. Push the EJECT button and get the update CD.

BLUETOOTH UPDATE #PR 1





17. Repeat the above procedures from step 2 to 10.





18. Press the INFO button, and check the version within 10 seconds.

NOTE:
If the version is "BT 170", go to the next step and proceed with the update. If the version is already "BT180", eject the update CD and the bluetooth update does not need to be performed.





19. Briefly push the preset button no. 2 one time, then "FIRMWARE FOUND" appears.

20. Briefly push the preset button "no. 1" one time and the Bluetooth update starts.

21. The Bluetooth update proceeds for about 24 minutes.





CAUTION:
Do not turn off the power while updating





NOTE:
If the error message (as shown in the photo) appears, the update procedure is automatically reset after 10 seconds. In this case, restart the update procedure from the beginning.





22. When the Bluetooth update # 1 is complete, the photo to the right appears on the screen.





23. With the preset button "no. 1" pressed, push the preset no. 6 for one second or more. Verify that update is complete and the new software version "BT180" is displayed

24. Push the EJECT button and remove the update CD.

BLUETOOTH UPDATE #PR 2





25. Repeat the above procedures from step 2 to 10.





26. Briefly push the preset button "no. 2" one time, then "FIRMWARE FOUND" appears.





27. Briefly push the preset button "no. 3" one time and the Bluetooth update starts.





28. The Bluetooth update proceeds, automatically for about 24 minutes.

CAUTION:
Do not turn off the power while updating.





29. When the Bluetooth update # 2 is complete, the photo appears on the screen.





30. Turn on the audio by pushing the audio power knob, then wait for about 20 seconds.





31. Push the voice recognition button for about 10 seconds. The voice language changes from English to French. Then, the system announces in French. Complete all the procedures.

Each time pushing the voice recognition button for about 10 seconds, the voice language changes as below:

English-->French-->English-->Spanish-->English

32. If the voice language does not change from English to French, restart the Bluetooth update # 2 from the beginning.
