Repair Procedures





Removal

1. Disconnect the battery(-) terminal.
2. Disconnect the brake tubes from the HECU.

Tightening torque :
Nut (A) : 12.7 - 16.7N.m(1.3 - 1.7kgf.m, 9.4 - 12.3lb-ft)
Nut (B) :
ABS : 12.7 - 16.7N.m(1.3 - 1.7kgf.m, 9.4 - 12.3lb-ft)
ESC : 18.6 - 22.6N.m(1.9 - 2.3kgf.m, 13.7 - 16.6lb-ft)





3. Disconnect the HECU connector.
4. Remove the HECU by loosening the bracket mounting bolts.

Tightening torque Nm (kgf.m, lb-ft):
16.7 - 25.5N.m (1.7 - 2.6kgf.m, 12.3 - 18.8lb-ft)


CAUTION:
- Never attempt to disassemble the HECU.
- The HECU must be protected during storage and transport, and must not be subjected to excessive shock.

Installation

1. Installation is the reverse of removal.
2. After installation, bleed the brake system.
