Sunroof / Moonroof Motor: Testing and Inspection

SUNROOF MOTOR

INSPECTION
1. Pull down the rear headliner.




2. Disconnect the motor side connector from the sunroof controller.
Remove the sunroof motor after removing 3 screws.




3. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1, check that the motor turns counterclockwise (moves toward the close and down position).




4. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns clockwise (moves toward the up and open position).
If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
