DESCRIPTION:

On some 2003 Tiburons, the driver's seat belt buckle wiring may interfere with the cushion height adjuster linkage, resulting in a short circuit.

This may cause an open airbag fuse and illumination of the airbag warning lamp. This condition may also result in intermittent illumination of the seat belt warning lamp, even when the belt is worn.

To prevent possible wiring damage, reroute the driver seat belt buckle wiring. On some vehicles, the buckle must be replaced with a new part incorporating a longer wire.
