CHECKING POWER STEERING BELT TENSION





1. Depress the drive belt by applying a pressure of 98 N (10 kg,22 lbs.) at the specified point, and measure the deflection to confirm that it is within the standard value.
Standard value Drive belt deflection : 7 - 10 mm (0.28 - 0.39 inch)





2. To adjust the belt tension, loosen the oil pump mounting bolts, move the oil pump, and then retighten the bolts.

CAUTION: Be sure to run the engine momently before recheck the belt deflection.
