Installation of Manifold Gauge Set

R-134a system employs new high and low service charge ports with "quick connect" adapters. Each adapter is a female fitting with threads on the inside to protect the system from contaminants. This type of change port is also expected to reduce refrigerant leakage.




1. Close both hand valves of the manifold gauge set.
2. Install charging hoses of gauge set to service ports. Connect the low pressure hose to the low pressure service port in the suction pipe and the high pressure hose to the high pressure service port in the discharge hose.
3. Tighten the hose nuts by hand.
