Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

THERMOSTATIC SWITCH (THERMISTOR)

1. Remove the glove box assembly.
2. Turn the blower and A/C switches ON.
3. Start the engine.
4. With the thermostatic switch connector in coupled state, install a voltmeter between terminal 2 and 3 (-) and check for a change in voltage according to the temperature of the evaporator surface.

NOTE: This check should be carried out by back-probing the thermostatic switch when it is connected.




5. If above condition is not satisfied, remove the evaporator unit and replace the thermostatic switch.
