MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL





This bulletin is being issued to advise of the application of fill-for-life manual transaxle oil which has been applied to manual transaxle equipped vehicles based on the production dates as outlined in the chart.

The newly formulated fill-for-life manual transaxle oil has been developed with improved low temperature viscosity, shear stability, oxidation stability, lubrication, and load characteristics. This oil has been developed specifically for Hyundai manual transaxles, and use of other formulations could cause poor shift feel/grinding and durability problems with the manual transaxle.

With this in mind, only the newly formulated fill-for-life manual transaxle oil should be utilized in manual transaxle equipped vehicles produced after the production dates above.

Note:
As per the factory recommended maintenance schedule, there is no replacement interval for manual transaxle oil, just inspection at 24 month/148,000 km intervals, under normal driving conditions.
