DESCRIPTION:





1. This TSB provides hydraulic pressure test specifications in "psi" and "kPa" for the following shop manuals: 2001 XG300: Page TR-18, 2001 Santa Fe: Page TR-24, 2001 Elantra: Page TR-10, 2001 Sonata: Page AT-18.





2. STANDARD HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TEST: Warm up the engine until the automatic transaxle fluid temperature is 70°-100°C (158°-212°F). Connect the oil pressure gauge, P/N J34405, to the appropriate pressure port.

Pressure Ports:

2ND: Second brake pressure

UD: Underdrive clutch pressure

LR: Low & reverse brake pressure

DR: Damper clutch release pressure





RV: Reverse clutch pressure

OD: Overdrive clutch pressure





RED: Reduction brake pressure














3. Drive the vehicle under the driving conditions shown in the table while an assistant records the hydraulic pressure.

4. If the value is outside the standard range, refer to the Diagnosis Tables in the shop manuals: 2001 XG-300: Pages TR-19 & 20, 2001 Santa Fe: Pages TR-25 & 26, 2001 Elantra: Pages TR-11 & 12, 2001 Sonata, Pages 19 & 20.
