Trunk / Liftgate: Service and Repair

Tailgate:

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION




1. Remove the tailgate trim panel.




2. Remove the tailgate frame upper trim.




3. Remove the tailgate glass side trim.




4. Remove the rear wiper arm.




5. Remove the rear wiper motor.




6. Remove the tailgate lifter with ball joint.

NOTE: When replacing the tailgate lifter, the ball joint should be replaced at the same time.

7. Installation is the reverse of removal
