Electronic Brake Control Module: Description and Operation

The EBD additionally applied instead of the proportioning valve to make the ideal distribution of a fluid pressure to the front and rear brake to prevent the brakes from skidding in the event of rear wheel lock and to obtain a higher brake efficiency within the range of service brake application.

With the ignition in the ON or START position battery voltage is supplied to the ABS control module through fuse 11. There are four wheel speed sensors and it provide signals to the ABS control module. Using wheel speed sensor signals, the ABS control module calculates and controls solenoid valves (built-in ABS control module) The control module has a built-in self diagnostic feature.
