DESCRIPTION
The purge control solenoid valve is part of the evaporative emission control system. the solenoid controls purge air form the evaporative emission canister.

FAILURE CONDITIONS
The ECM will set P0444 and the MIL will turn on if an open circuit is detected in the driver stage of the purge control solenoid circuit during two driving cycles.
