Difficult To Engage Reverse Gear

THIS TSB HAS BEEN REVISED TO CORRECT THE EFFECTIVE VEHICLE PRODUCTION DATE FOR THE SONATA 2.0L

CONDITION:

When shifting a manual transaxle into reverse gear, some customers may experience difficulty in fully engaging the gear or may notice a grinding condition.

CORRECTION:

The reverse idler gear bushing and reverse shift lever have been improved in production vehicles after 05/04/94. If the above condition continues, replace the following two parts as a set on vehicles built prior to 05/04/94.
