Assembly Instructions

Press the old 3rd and 4th gears and 3rd/4th synchronizer hub and sleeve off of the input shaft. Install and press the field fix kit which includes 3rd and 4th gears and the 3rd/4th synchronizer hub, sleeve and fings onto the input shaft as shown in the shop manual.

1. Install output shaft assembly.





2. While lifting up the output shaft assembly, install it simultaneously with the intermediate shaft assembly.





3. Install the bearing retainer.





4. Reassembly of shift rail assembly.

A) Set the first-second speed shift sleeve at second speed.

B) Set the third-fourth speed shift sleeve at fourth speed.





C) Install the first-second shift rail and assembly with the select lever pulled to fifth-reverse shift rail side.

D) Install the third-fourth, and fifth-reverse shift rail assemblies together with the select lever fully pushed to first-second rail side.

6. Re-installation of the spring pin:





A) Install new spring pins using the special tool (09414-11000).

B) When installing, make sure that the slit of the spring pin is aligned with the shift rail center line.

CAUTION:
DO NOT REUSE SPRING PINS
