Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments
Fig. 3 Clutch Pedal Height & Clevis Pin Play:
1. Measure clutch pedal height and clutch pedal clevis pin play, Fig. 1. Clutch pedal height should be 6.7-7 inches and clevis pin play should be 0.04-0.12 inch.
2. If either clutch pedal height or clutch pedal clevis pin play are not within specifications, adjust as follows:
Fig. 2 Clutch Pedal Adjustment:
a. On models less auto cruise control system, when pedal height is higher than specified, turn bolt, Fig. 2, until pedal height is within specifications, then lock with locknut.
b. On models with auto cruise control system when pedal height is higher than specified, disconnect clutch switch connector and turn switch, Fig. 2, until pedal height is within specifications, then lock with locknut.

c. When pedal height is lower than specified, loosen bolt or clutch switch and turn pushrod, Fig. 3, to make adjustment. After adjustment, tighten bolt or clutch switch until it reaches pedal stop, then tighten locknut.
d. Turn pushrod until clutch pedal clevis pin play is within specifications.Do not push pushrod toward master cylinder.
3. After completing adjustments, confirm the following:
a. Clutch pedal freeplay is 0.24-0.52 inch.
b. Distance between clutch pedal (face of pedal pad) and toeboard when clutch is disengaged is 1.5 inches.
