Removal

1. Remove steering wheel.
2. Remove lower crash pad, then disconnect rheostat connector.
3. Remove column shroud, then disconnect remaining electrical connectors.
4. Remove multi-function switch.

5. Remove universal joint and pinion bolt, Fig. 1.
6. Remove bolts securing column bracket to frame, then the steering column shaft assembly.
