Thermal Vacuum Valve: Description and Operation

PURPOSE AND OPERATION
The Thermo Valve is designed to measure the temperature of intake air. If the temperature is low (-9 to -1°C [16 to 30°F] or less) the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve vacuum source is eliminated, regardless of engine temperature, to provide optimum driveability.
