With Multi-Use Tester (MUT)

PROCEDURE

NOTE: When battery voltage Is low, Diagnostic Trouble Codes can not be read. Be sure to check the battery for voltage and other conditions before starting the test.

1. Turn OFF the Ignition Switch.





2. Connect the Scan Tool to the Data Link Connector in the fuse box.
3. Connect the power-source terminal of the Scan Tool to the cigarette lighter socket.
4. Turn ON the Ignition Switch.
5. Following the prompts on the Scan Tool display use the Scan Tool to check the Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NOTE: Diagnosis memory is erased if the battery or the Engine Control Module connector is disconnected. Do not disconnect the battery before the Diagnostic Trouble Codes are completely read.





NOTE: When the Ignition key is in the ST position, the cigarette lighter power is OFF. It a test needs to be made during cranking, use the battery clamp harness provided.
