Installation

1. Install inner and outer gears into timing case, ensuring mating marks are properly aligned.
2. Install oil pump cover, then tighten to specifications.
3. Install relief valve, spring and plug, then tighten to specification.

4. Install front case assembly. When installing front case attaching bolts, refer to Fig. 35, and note bolts to be installed in location A are 0.79 inch in length, bolts installed in location B are 1.18 inches in length and bolts installed in location C are 2.36 inches in length.

5. Install oil pan and screen, then the timing belt as outlined under Timing Belt. Prior to installing oil pan, apply sealer to pan flange as shown in Fig. 29.
