Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect breather and secondary air hoses, then remove air cleaner.
3. Remove timing belt cover.
4. Move timing belt tensioner fully toward water pump, then secure in place.
5. Remove timing belt from camshaft sprocket. Do not remove belt from crankshaft sprocket.
6. Remove camshaft sprocket and rocker cover.
7. Remove rocker shaft assembly and cylinder head rear cover.
8. Remove camshaft thrust case tightening bolt, then the thrust case and camshaft assembly. Remove assembly from transaxle side of cylinder head.
