SERVICE PROCEDURE

Most manual transaxle bearings are manufactured and sold as a matched set consisting of an inner race, an outer race and roller/ball assembly. Therefore, when installing a new bearing, be sure to also install the new bearing race using the procedure outlined in the manual transaxle section of the appropriate Service Manual.

DO NOT reuse old inner or outer races with a new roller/ball assembly. Failure to replace entire matched set may cause accelerated wear on the new bearing. This procedure should be followed any time a bearing is being replaced.
