MANUAL TRANSMISSION IGNITION INTERLOCK SWITCH ADJUSTMENT

The ignition interlock feature on manual transaxle equipped cars requires the clutch pedal to be depressed fully before the car can be started. Incorrect adjustment of the switch may prevent the engine from cranking. Follow the procedure below to adjust the ignition interlock switch on all 1991 and later model Excel, Scoupe, and Sonata vehicles.

SERVICE PROCEDURE








Adjust the switch so that the ignition interlock switch activates when the clutch pedal stroke reaches distance "A".
