Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

The stoplight switch is located on the brake pedal support.
1. Disconnect switch electrical connectors.
2. Loosen switch retaining locknut, then remove switch from vehicle.
3. Reverse procedure to install. Adjust switch until clearance between outer case of switch and brake pedal arm is .02-.04 inch, then tighten locknut.
