PAINTING PROCEDURE OF OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLES
The outside door handles on the 1991 model year vehicles will be black (Sonata base, Excel "L" model) or body colored (all others). The replacement outside door handles will be supplied black or primered. Before installation the primered handles will need to be painted to match the body color.
PAINTING PROCEDURE
1. Remove the pad from the new handle assembly. Clean the handle lever and housing with solvent.
2. Insert a shim in the lever guide hole to hold the lever fully open.
3. Spray paint the handle evenly and dry it at 150 degrees C (350 degrees F) for 30 minutes.
4. Apply the clear coat (if required) and then dry it again as above.
