EGR Control Solenoid: Description and Operation
EGR Solenoid Valve Location:
The EGR Solenoid Valve is a solenoid operated, computer (ECU) controlled, vacuum switching valve. It functions to limit the operation of the EGR Valve, by interrupting its vacuum source, upon ECU command. The ECU reads the voltage signal from the coolant temperature sensor, to determine the engine's operating temperature, and determines when to allow EGR valve operation.
