TRUNK LID TORSION BARS CHANGE





The strengths of the trunk lid torsion bars have been increased. There are two different bars: One for L models and one for GL/GLS models. The GL/GLS bars are stronger than the L model bars due to the added weight of the black back panel molding.

^ The previous GL/GLS bars, P/N 79273-24100 LH and 79280-24100 RH, will now be used on L models.

^ There are new part numbers, 79273-24120 LH and 79280-24120 RH, for the GL/GLS bars.

New trunk lid torsion bars are interchangeable with old bars and should be used in place of the old bars.

Effective Production Date: January 3, 1991

NOTE: Be sure there is one left hand (LH) and one right hand (RH) bar installed on the vehicle.
