Cold Advance Solenoid Valve

To test the Cold Advance Solenoid Valve, located on the flywheel end of the cylinder head, proceed as follows.


1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (connector M81, refer to ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC DIAGRAMS).
2. Test for resistance across the two component side connector terminals.
Standard Value
38-44 ohm @ 20°C (68°F)

3. If the solenoid valve's resistance is out of the standard value limits replace the solenoid.
