Fuel Return Line: Description and Operation

Fuel And Vapor Lines Components:





FUEL SUPPLY LINE
The fuel supply line delivers fuel from the outlet on the fuel tank, first to the in-line fuel filter, then from the filter to the mechanical fuel pump inlet. The line is of steel construction and is fitted in place with conventional fuel hoses with clamps.

FUEL RETURN LINE
The fuel return line routes excess fuel from the return outlet on the fuel pump, through the carburetor accelerator pump housing, to the return outlet on the fuel tank. The line is of steel construction and is fitted in place with conventional fuel hoses with clamps.

VAPOR RECOVERY LINE
The vapor recovery line delivers fuel vapors from the outlet on the fuel tank through the rollover valve (fuel check valve) to the charcoal vapor recovery canister. The line from the fuel tank to the check valve is of steel construction with conventional fuel hoses and clamps attaching it to the valve and the tank outlet. The remaining portion of the line is fuel hose with clamps attaching it to the valve and the charcoal canister.
