Campaign 007 Repair Procedure (Two Solenoid Carburetor)
1. Start the engine. Disconnect the vacuum hose to the air cleaner, and remove the air cleaner assembly.
2. Spray the choke blade shaft and the area around the primary and secondary main air jets with carburetor cleaner. (P/N 00212-19130 or equivalent)
3. Warm up the engine until the radiator fan starts to operate. When the fan stops, check the voltage between the oxygen sensor body and the hood latch bolt using a digital multi-meter. Place the positive lead on the bolt and the negative lead on the sensor body, If the voltage is over 130mV, continue to next step. If the voltage is not over 130mV, go to step 5.
4. Install one end of the new ground wire on the intake manifold and the other end on the vacuum regulator valve mounting bolt.
5. Re-connect the vacuum hose to the air cleaner, and re-install the air cleaner assembly.
6. Before closing the hood, you'll need to place a punch mark on the firewall identification plate over the 3rd character from the right of the VIN. This will show that the campaign procedures have been completed.
7. An "Authorized Modifications" label will need to be applied to the underside of the hood. Wipe the surface clean before applying the new label.
8. On the "Authorized Modifications" label, you will need to write in the following information:
CHANGE AUTHORITY: 007
DEALER CODE: Your Dealer Code
REPAIR DATE: The date of the repair
Remove the backing from the clear adhesive on the front of the label, and press down overthe label.
9. After completing these procedures make sure that all fasteners are tightened to the proper torque. Remove the fender covers.
NOTICE
The following statement must appear on the customer's copy of the Repair Order as proof to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) that the campaign has been performed:
"Excel Emissions Campaign has been completed on this vehicle."
