Front Wheel Alignment

Fig. 1 Adjusting Caster:

CAMBER

Camber is pre-set to specifications and is not adjustable. If camber setting is not within specification, check for damaged or bent suspension components.

CASTER

Caster on these vehicles generally requires no adjustment. However, slight adjustments can be made by turning the adjusting nut on the strut bar, Fig. 1 clockwise or counterclockwise as required.

Fig. 1 Toe-In Adjustment:

TOE-IN

Toe-In is adjusted by turning the tie rod turnbuckles, Fig. 2. Changes achieved by turning the tie rods for both left and right wheels simultaneously one turn, will result in a toe change of approximately .47 inch. To adjust toe-in, proceed as follows:
1. Remove outer bellows clip to prevent damage to bellows.
2. Loosen locknuts, then turn right and left tie rods an equal amount as required.
3. After adjustment is completed, torque locknuts to 36-40 ft. lbs., then reinstall bellows clip.

STEERING ANGLE

Steering angle, Fig. 3, requires no adjustment. If there is a difference in steering angle between right and left wheels, change length of right and left tie rods. Steering angle should be 34°10'-37°10' for inner wheel, 29°17' for outer wheel.
