`Warranty Information
This Campaign becomes effective October 9, 1989. Any repairs performed prior to October 9,1989 will not be accepted under this Campaign.PROCEDURES COVERED
This Campaign covers the following, regardless of the vehicle's age or mileage:
^ Replacement of the carburetor primary main air jet
^ Installation of a carburetor choke shim cap
^ Cleaning of the sub-EGR valve
^ Resetting of the ignition timing
This Campaign also covers the inspection and, if necessary, the replacement of the exhaust manifold, jet mixture solenoid, and related parts.
All owners of the affected vehicles are being notified that they should bring their cars in for this service. Your dealership will be reimbursed for parts and labor costs associated with the inspection, cleaning, and required parts replacements.
REPLACED PARTS
Please tag and retain the old replaced parts per Section 7 of the Warranty Policy and Procedures Manual. Place the removed parts in the replacement part's box. Replaced parts may be requested under normal warranty return procedures. Do NOT automatically ship these parts to the Warranty Technical Center (WTC) In Fountain Valley, California, until they are specifically requested via your DCS. If these parts are not requested within 60 days from claim approval, please destroy and discard these parts after 60 days have elapsed from claim approval date.
ONLY GENUINE PARTS MAY BE USED
Only Hyundai Genuine Parts supplied by Hyundai Motor America's Parts Department may be used for this repair. The primary main airjet and carburetor choke shim cap are provided as a kit.
