Fuel Check Valve

The fuel check valve, mounted on the firewall and connected in series to the fuel vapor line between the charcoal canister and overfill limiter, is used to prevent fuel spillage should the vehicle suddenly roll over. The valve contains two check balls. During normal operation, the vapor passage in the valve is open. However, should the vehicle roll over, one of the check balls will close this passage and prevent fuel spillage.
