Exhaust Rear Muffler Replacement (without DPF)

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning (Exhaust Service Warning).

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning (Protective Goggles and Glove Warning).

1. Raise and support the vehicle.Refer to lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair)




2. Remove the front exhaust pipe nuts (1) from the exhaust muffler.
3. Support the front exhaust to the underbody.




4. Remove the exhaust muffler from the insulator hangers (1).
5. Remove the exhaust muffler (2).

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the exhaust muffler hangers to the exhaust insulators (1).
Note: Clean and lubricate the exhaust hangers for ease of assembly.




2. Install the exhaust muffler to the front exhaust (2) with nuts (1)and tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb ft).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks and underbody clearance.
