Exhaust Pipe Heat Shield Replacement (H3)

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning (Exhaust Service Warning).

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning (Protective Goggles and Glove Warning).


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the front exhaust pipe heat shield nuts (1) and shield (2).




3. Remove the rear exhaust pipe heat shield nuts (1) and shield (2).

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the exhaust pipe heat shield (2) and nuts (1).

Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).




2. Install the exhaust pipe heat shield (2) and nuts (1).

Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Lower the vehicle.
