Exhaust Flexible Pipe Replacement (without DPF)

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Hot Exhaust System Warning (Hot Exhaust System Warning).

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning (Protective Goggles and Glove Warning).


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




2. Separate the rear exhaust muffler (2) from the front flexible pipe with the nuts (1).
3. .Support the rear muffler to the frame.




4. Remove the exhaust front flexible pipe nuts (1).
5. Remove the exhaust gasket (2) and discard.
6. Separate the front flexible pipe exhaust from the exhaust insulator.
7. Remove the front flexible pipe (3).

Installation Procedure




1. To aid in the installation of the exhaust muffler pipe, add a lubricant to the exhaust insulators.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Position the front flexible pipe (3) to the catalytic converter with a NEW gasket (2) and tighten nuts (1) to

25 Nm(18 lb ft).




3. Install the front flexible pipe (3) to rear muffler (2) with the nuts (1).Tighten to

45 Nm(33 lb ft).

4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks and underbody clearance.
