Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Upper) (Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Upper))Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Lower) (Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Lower)).
2. Remove the bolts (1) retaining the transmission to the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector (2).
4. Remove the wiper transmission from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the wiper transmission to vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the bolts (1) retaining the wiper transmission to the vehicle.

Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm (7 lb ft).

3. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector (2).
4. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Upper) (Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Upper))Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Lower) (Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Lower)).
5. Engage wipers and check for proper operation.
