Circuit/System Verification

Ignition On, fold down the sun visors and verify the vanity lamps illuminate.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate sun visor.
2. Verify that a test lamp illuminates when connected between the ground circuit terminal A and B+.

If the test lamp does not illuminate, repair the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.

3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates when connected between the control circuit terminal B and ground.

If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the supply circuit for an open/high resistance or short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.

4. If all the circuits test normal, replace the appropriate vanity mirror lamp.
