Coolant Heater Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the engine coolant.




2. Raise and support the vehicle only high enough to access the coolant heater (6) through the wheelhouse.
3. Remove the left wheelhouse liner.
4. Disconnect the coolant heater cord (4) from the coolant heater (6).




5. Remove the coolant heater from the engine block.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice.

1. Install the coolant heater into the engine block.

Tighten the coolant heater to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).




2. Connect the coolant heater cord (4) to the coolant heater (6).
3. Install the left wheelhouse liner.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Fill the cooling system.
