Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the engine oil cooler hoses from the radiator.
2. Remove the engine oil cooler hoses from the fan shroud.
3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
4. Remove the engine protection shield bolts.
5. Remove the engine shield.




6. Remove the engine oil cooler hose bracket bolt (1).
7. Remove the engine oil cooler hose adapter bolts (2).
8. Remove the engine oil cooler hose assembly and gasket.
Discard the gasket.
9. Inspect the fittings, connectors and cooler hoses for damage or distortion.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the engine oil cooler hose assembly and a new gasket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the engine oil cooler hose adapter bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

3. Install the engine oil cooler hose bracket bolt (1).

Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the engine protection shield.
5. Install the engine shield bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).




6. Install the engine oil cooler hoses to the fan shroud.
7. Install the engine oil cooler hoses to the radiator.
