Date: June 19, 2007

SERVICE UPDATE

Subject:
07165 - Service Update for Inventory Vehicles Only - Liftgate Applique' Separation - Expires September 15, 2007

Models:
2007 HUMMER H2

THIS SERVICE UPDATE INVOLVES VEHICLES IN DEALER INVENTORY ONLY AND WILL EXPIRE SEPTEMBER 15, 2007.

Purpose

This bulletin provides a service procedure to inspect the liftgate applique' on certain 2007 HUMMER H2 vehicles. On some of these vehicles, the liftgate applique' may separate from the liftgate, resulting in an uneven, rippled surface or contact with the rear edge of the vehicle roof when the liftgate is opened. Depending on the results of the inspection, dealers are to either modify or replace the applique'.

This service procedure should be completed on involved vehicles currently in dealership inventory as soon as possible but no later than September 15, 2007, at which time this bulletin will expire.

Vehicles Involved

A list of involved vehicles currently in dealer inventory is available on the "Service Update Bulletin Information" link under the "Service" tab in DealerWorld (US) or attached to the Dealer Communication (Canada), used to release this bulletin.

Dealers are to confirm vehicle eligibility prior to beginning repairs by using the GM Vehicle Inquiry System (GMVIS).

Open driver's side pushpin slot 4 mm (5/32 in) inboard toward the center of the liftgate applique'.

Place liftgate applique' on the liftgate and tuck the seal (1) under roof panel.

Align the liftgate applique' hole (1) with the liftgate hole.
