Digital Radio Antenna Cable Replacement
Removal Procedure
Notice: Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.
1. Lower the front of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
2. Disconnect the antenna cable from the antenna.
Important: Note the antenna cable routing, clip and tape location during dis-assembly in order to route the cable back to factory routing.
3. Release the antenna cable from the cable clips above the headliner and the windshield pillar.
4. Remove the passenger side kick up panel.
5. Remove the XM radio receiver, if equipped.
6. Disconnect the antenna cable harness from the Instrument Panel (IP) harness.
7. Release the antenna cable from the hold down clips and tape below the IP.
8. Tie a piece of string or mechanics wire to the antenna cable harness end below the IP.
9. Carefully pull the cable end out from behind the IP and above the top pad.
10. Leaving the string/mechanics wire in place behind the IP and disconnect the wire/string from the antenna cable.
11. Release the antenna cable from the cable clips.
12. Remove the antenna cable from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Route the antenna cable above the headliner.
2. Connect the antenna cable to the antenna.
3. Secure the cable to the roof, above the headliner as noted during disassembly.
4. Attach the mechanics wire or string, used during removal, to the end of the antenna cable.
5. Carefully pull the antenna cable past the top pad to below the IP.
6. Secure the antenna cable to windshield pillar area and below the IP as noted during disassembly.
7. Connect the antenna cable to the IP harness.
8. Install the XM radio receiver, if equipped.
9. Install the passenger side kick up panel.
10. Install the headliner.
