Service Procedure

1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.

2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner assembly





3. Remove the 2 bolts (3) and loosen the nut (5) securing the air cleaner assembly to the wheel house (4).

4. Remove the air cleaner assembly from the vehicle.





5. Inspect the end of the pump for a "345R" stamped on the electrical connector end of the pump.

- If the pump is stamped "345R", then the pump should not be changed. Proceed to the Installation Procedure, Step 5

- If the pump is NOT stamped "345R", then the pump must be replaced. Proceed to the next step.





7. Pace a clean drain pan under the vehicle.

8. Unplug the electrical connector from the rear window washer pump (2).

9. Pull the pump (2) out of the reservoir and allow the reservoir to drain into the clean drain pan.

10. Remove the hose from the pump.

11. Remove the sealing grommet (1). It will not be reused.

Installation Procedure





Important:
Ensure that you are installing the new designed pump by verifying that there is a "345R" stamped on the electrical connector end of the pump.

1. Install a new sealing grommet into the reservoir.

2. Push the hose onto the new pump.

3. Push the new pump into the sealing grommet.

4. Connect the rear washer pump electrical connector.

5. Position the air cleaner assembly into the engine compartment, inserting the snorkel into the fender.

6. Install the 2 bolts and tighten the nut securing the air cleaner assembly to the wheel house.

Tighten

^ Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

^ Tighten the nut to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).

7. Connect the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner assembly.

Tighten

Tighten the damp to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

8. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.

9. Refill the reservoir with washer fluid.
