66. Oil Pump Cover and Body Assemble

Oil Pump Cover and Body Assemble
^ Tools Required
- J 21368 Pump Body and Cover Alignment Band





1. Place the oil pump cover onto the oil pump body and put stator shaft through a hole in the bench.
2. Install the pump cover bolts (223) finger tight only.
3. Install the J 21368.

4. Notice: Tighten the pump cover bolts (223).

^ Tighten the bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove the J 21368.





6. Inspect the input speed sensor (ISS) assembly (250) for the following conditions:
^ Cracked or damaged housing
^ Worn or missing harness brackets
^ Damaged or worn wining or electrical connector
^ Loose, missing or damaged mounting bolt insert





7. Remove the input speed sensor (ISS) O-ring (249).
8. Lubricate O-ring (249) with transmission fluid and position in ISS O-ring groove.
9. Insert ISS (250) into oil pump ISS bore and fully seal.
10. Align ISS bolt insert with oil pump mounting bolt hole. For non-ISS models, install the ISS hole plug (248) and O-ring (249).
11. Install bolt (247).
^ Tighten bolt to 9 - 11 Nm (6.6 - 8.1 ft. lbs.).





12. Route the ISS (250) harness as shown. Install harness bracket #1 and #2 in the locations shown. Ensure wire harness does not cover pump mounting holes and lays flat against the pump housing.
