Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Canister/Fuel Tank



EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) HOSES/PIPES REPLACEMENT - CANISTER/FUEL TANK

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
- Refer to Fuel and EVAP Pipe Caution in Service Precautions.
- Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Caution in Service Precautions.


NOTE: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Raise and support the vehicle, high enough to access the fuel fill hose through the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the left rear wheelhouse liner.




3. Disconnect the EVAP line quick connect (1) near the fuel inlet.
4. Cut and discard the tie straps (2) securing the evaporative emission (EVAP) line to the fuel fill pipe.
5. Disconnect the EVAP line quick connect (2) from the fuel tank.
6. Disconnect the EVAP line quick connect (4) from the EVAP canister..
7. Remove the EVAP line from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EVAP line to the vehicle.
2. Connect the EVAP line quick connect (4) to the EVAP canister.
3. Connect the EVAP line quick connect (2) to the fuel tank.
4. Install NEW tie straps (2) securing the EVAP line to the fuel fill pipe.
5. Connect the EVAP line quick connect (1) near the fuel inlet.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Install the left rear wheelhouse liner.
