Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise and support the vehicle, high enough to access the top of the fuel tank through the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the left rear wheelhouse liner.
3. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector (1).




4. Gently pull and/or pry in an upward motion, in order to remove the fuel tank pressure sensor from the fuel tank module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Lightly lubricate the fuel tank pressure sensor seal with clean engine oil.
2. Firmly press down on top of the fuel pressure sensor, in order to install the sensor into the fuel tank module.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the fuel pressure sensor sits between the alignment feature in the fuel tank module.




3. Connect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Install the left rear wheelhouse liner.
5. Lower the vehicle.
