Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the glow plug module and bracket.




3. Remove the fuel pressure relief valve from the left fuel rail.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.




1. Install the fuel pressure relief valve to the left fuel rail.

Tighten the fuel pressure relief valve to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).

2. Install the glow plug module and bracket.
3. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming.
4. Start the engine.If the engine does not start, repeat the above step.
5. Inspect the fuel system for fuel leaks.
6. Close the hood.
