Ignition Key Switch Test

NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations 4-door SRS Component Location Index (2-Door), 2-door SRS Component Location Index (2-Door), and precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or servicing.

1. Remove the steering column upper and lower covers Steering Column Cover Removal/Installation.

2. Disconnect the 6P connector (A) from the ignition key switch.





3. Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2.

- There should be continuity with the key in the ignition switch.
- There should be no continuity with the key removed.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, the ignition key switch is faulty, replace the steering lock Service and Repair.
