Daytime Running Lamp Control Unit: Testing and Inspection

Canada

The DRL indicator light in the gauge assembly will come on when you turn the ignition switch to ON (II) with the headlight switch off and the parking brake set. NOTE: When the daytime running lights are on, the high beam indicator will glow at half its normal intensity.

2. Disconnect the 14P connector (A) from the daytime running lights control unit (B).
3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 4 ('02-03 models) or step 6 ('04-05 models).
